---------------------
In 2009, I've wasted a lot of time doing nothing, I've not read much, I haven't done much artwork, I currently have a sick iguana, have very little money, and my photography really hadn't picked up interest as I had hoped it would. Plus I lost most of my files with the crash and burn of my external Hard Drive. None of my retail collection photos, but all 14,000 others including family photos.
The worst of all in 2009, I have strayed from and even lost a few good friends, all of whom I miss, and I caused a lot of pain and hurt to one I never wanted to hurt. Basically, I've said and done things to several people this year that I likely will be regretting for a long time.
I've also decided that unless some big change comes to the status, my Roleplay & discussion form site will go away for good on March 20 of '10. I've lost my inspiration for writing and it has very few members. The site was the main reason for my internet activity for the first few of my past years online and for a while was a huge part of my life.

NOW THE GOOD
I managed a new personal dragon character picture thing. Thats a feat considering I've STARTED over a dozen versions of it here and there.
I found another museum in the area that not only was willing to pay me, but also respects me like Brunswick never did, and treats me like a valuable member of the team even though I havn't done nearly as much as I had at Brunswick. On top of that I also was asked to join a small multimedia-web design firm which has a large portfolio. After months of thinking I'd be unemployed indefinately, patience pays off in the end I guess.
The church is doing very well, we've doubled in size this year. This time 3 years ago it was a group of 6, last week we had 45, and the bigger it grows the more it seems to be like one big family.
Recognition this year has included the prize-less first place for the Brunswick Photography Guild's august photo competition with my photo "Tunnel Blur" [link] . I also provided the photo for the cover of the 2009 Farm Guide [link] and won the design contest for the local business directory cover [link] .
I also released photos upon request for use in promoting the new development being built in Brunswick. You can see some of my photos in the gallery at [link]

TO DO LIST: 2010
this coming year, I plan to get in a lot more reading and studying, work as much as possible, maybe get some more artwork done. I have notes for a book on museums to start working on more as well.
I also plan to do a makeover of my photography website and try to drum up more business for it. I'll need to get a new camera before too long though...and a new computer...
I now leave you with some more of my 2009 photos!

History is not only the product of the past but the gateway to the future. When history is lost so also is a chance at a better understanding of the world, why things are as they are, when things worked their best, and what things are to come.
